La La Land, o filme de Damien Chazelle sobre um pianista de jazz que se apaixona por uma aspirante a atriz em Los Angeles, foi o grande vencedor da 74.ª edição dos Globos de Ouro. O filme que chega às salas portuguesas a 26 de janeiro ganhou em sete categorias, incluindo Melhor Filme de comédia ou musical, Melhor Atriz (Emma Stone), Melhor Ator (Ryan Gosling) e Melhor Realizador e Melhor Argumento, para Chazelle.
No drama, “Moonlight” levou a melhor sobre “Manchester by the Sea”, que estava também nomeado para melhor filme e acabou por vencer apenas numa categoria, com Casey Affleck a ser distinguido como Melhor Ator (drama). Melhor Atriz na mesma categoria foi Isabelle Huppert, por “Elle”, de Paul Verhoeven, que saiu da cerimónia deste domingo à noite com o prémio de Melhor Filme Estrangeiro.
Nas categorias televisivas, levaram a melhor “The Crown”, com dois prémios, incluindo Melhor Série de drama, e “Atlanta”, Melhor Série de comédia e Melhor Ator para Donald Glover.
O prémio de reconhecimento de carreira Cecil B. DeMille foi para Meryl Streep que, quase sem voz, fez do seu discurso (contra Trump) um dos grandes momentos de uma noite que teve como anfitrião Jimmy Fallon.
